This Grammy Award-nominated American alt-country/rock singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, North Carolina is on of my favorite artist. I loved his work with his earlier band Whiskeytown, his solo career, and his more recent recordings with his backing band, The Cardinals.
He‘s had an amazing journey, however in early 2009 he announced that he was taking an indefinite hiatus from music. We’ll see how long that will last…
John Nolan – In the Aeroplane over the Sea
Here’s a nice cover of a classic Neutral Milk Hotel song by John Nolan. He’s the front man of Straylight Run, an indie rock band out of Long Island, NY. Straylight Run’s latest release was the EP entitled About Time and Un Mas Dos, preceded by their full-length album The Needles the Space.
According to their Web site they just wrapped up a solid fall US tour.
